Jott or Not?

I’ve been using the Jott service for a couple of months, and it has made the second dialing position on my cell phone. Jott converts your voice into emails, text messages, reminders, lists and appointments. I’ve used it in a variety of ways from adding events to my Google calendar to reminders for putting in coins in metered parking. The voice recognition is fairly accurate, and seems to pick up on some of my ebonics. I’m glad I no longer have to try texting while driving. I’ve been texting to groups and family members without having to add them all one at a time on my phone.

Here’s sample Jott message. The ? mark is where I paused and avoided a near collision with a bicyclist. Too bad Jott can’t eliminate bad driving. ;-)

Sent with my voice via Jott: Today is the first day of the hands free cell phone law and I am using jott to state(?) this message down to test its accuracy. I must say if this comes through then it will be a great achievement for Jott but I think that I have no other choice other than to use…
